To continue the tradition, they decided to make their wedding rings themselves – buying ‘an ounce of gold,’ and ‘hammering’ it into temporary bands.

‘We walked into Chinatown and bought, like, an ounce of gold. And he was like, “We’ll melt down the gold to make the rings,”’ she continued, adding that they ended up creating ‘temporary rings’ together.

‘I just feel like making it yourself, like, how could you be more personal?’ she asked.
