A hilarious debate has erupted online after a controversial post was uploaded to Facebook by the New South Wales Police.
‘People who put chocolate in the fridge are the same people that don’t keep left unless overtaking. We’re now targeting both,’ their post read.
The post provoked furious responses from both sides, and sparked a debate about where is best to keep the dairy item.

Many agreed with police and believed it was about time those who refrigerated chocolate be brought to justice.
‘About time someone did something about the actual monsters who refrigerate chocolate,’ one woman said.
The post attracted over 14 thousand likes and nearly nine thousand comments with many of them soon turning against the police.
The post provoked hilarious responses from both sides who were either completely in agreement with police or declared the weather too hot to keep chocolate in the cupboard
‘It’s Australia, so unless you want to drink your chocolate by midday, fridge it is,’ one man said.
‘I don’t care. There is nothing more satisfying than nearly breaking your teeth biting into some hard, cold, delicious chocolate,’ one woman said.
‘Plus, I’m in rehab to help combat my addiction to sticking in the right lane so arrest me officer,’ they added.

‘How you gonna not put chocolate in the fridge when it’s 40° though,’ one person said.
‘My step dad puts his chocolate in the freezer,’ another commenter added.
However, the police quickly retorted with their response.
‘Everyone saying “But who eats melted chocolate” calm down, you live in NSW, not the Simpson Desert,’ a spokesperson said.
NSW Labor MP Sonia Kathleen even chimed in and offered a different opinion on the topic.
‘Chocolate never lasts long enough in my household to be put in the fridge,’ she said.
