Kate Middleton has reportedly reached out to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in the wake of their emotional interviews from the recent documentary, Harry and Meghan: An African Journey. The Sussexes spoke of the pressures of living life in the spotlight, while Prince Harry admitted that the rumored feud with Prince William is true.
Prince Harry addressed the feud rumors
It’s been rumored for some time that Prince Harry and Prince William were fighting but neither has publicly addressed the gossip. In the documentary, Prince Harry admitted to some tension between them, noting, “Part of this role and part of this job and this family being under the pressure that it’s under… inevitably, you know, stuff happens.”
He continued: “But, look, we’re brothers. We’ll always bebrothers. We’re certainly on different paths at the moment but I will always bethere for him and, as I know, he will always be there for me.”
Prince Harry noted that part of the reason is that they “don’t see each other as much as we used to because we’re so busy,” but he assured, “I love him dearly. The majority of stuff is created out of nothing.”
He admitted: “But as brothers, you have good days and you have bad days.”
Prince Harry and Markle shared devastating accounts
Both Prince Harry and Markle shared during their interviews how trying it can be to face the non-stop public and media scrutiny, with Markle stating: “I really tried to adopt this British sensibility of a ‘stiff upper lip.’ I really tried, but I think that what that does internally is probably really damaging.”
She added: “I never thought that this would be easy, but I thought it would be fair. And that’s the part that’s really hard to reconcile.”
Further, Prince Harry shared his perspective on the need to protect his family, with worries that his wife would face a similar fate as his late mother, Princess Diana.
He shared: “Everything that she [Diana] went through and what happened to her is incredibly raw every single day, and that is not being me being paranoid. That’s just me not wanting a repeat of the past.”
He added: “If anybody else knew what I knew, be it a father or be it a husband, be it anyone, you would probably be doing exactly what I am doing as well.”
Middleton feels sorry for Markle
According to a new report, Middleton “feels sorry” for Markle after hearing her interview and has made an attempt to help “patch things up” with everyone.
Royal reporter Phil Daunier told Express: “Behind the scenes I’m told Kate is doing her best to bring everyone together and help Meghan,” adding, “None of them want to let the Queen down so Kate is trying to patch things up in private.”
He continued: “I’m told she has reached out to Meghan andspoken to her on the phone. Kate feels sorry for her and knows that Meghan isstruggling.”
