New parking technology could stop drivers from receiving hefty fines and charges

A new parking technology could mean drivers won't receive hefty fines and charges ever again.

Parking experts Hozah have received investment to ensure their new revolutionary technology can get off the ground.

It will promise to "transform" the way motorists pay for their parking charges to ensure road users don't get caught out.

The automated parking payment system will work by connecting drivers to ANPR number plate recognition cameras.

To work successfully, it will detect when motorists enter and exit a car park to calculate how long cars have stayed.

Then the parking fees are automatically calculated with drivers given the price of the correct length of their stay.

The tool by Hozah will reduce the effects of human error to ensure road users never forget to pay for their parking tickets.

Often payment rules are "unclear" which can leave people "rushing back" to a predetermined time.

Once installed, road users won't have to worry about fines because their car is their payment card.

And it also means motorists don't have to stress about carrying cash to pay for traditional tickets from display machines.

David Fowle, Managing Director of Hozah, said: "We're delighted to have received this investment through Suss Ventures, which is a real show of faith in our capability to revolutionise the UK's car park infrastructure.

"We look forward to using these funds to help our customer avoid parking fines, frustrating apps and tickets, and we're proud of our relationship with the team at Suss Ventures."

Drivers can also register as many vehicles and the tool can be used in any Hozah adapted car park.

The tool will also come with a specially designed app to allow drivers to check their transaction history at any time.
