Queen Letizia of Spain looked stylish as she stepped out in a chic cream midi dress to attend the opening of the Cervantes Institute in Los Angeles today.

The Spanish royal, 50, who is on a two-day visit to Los Angeles, donned the elegant frock as she made an appearance at the inauguration of the centre, whose aim is to enhance the visibility of Spanish and Latin American culture.

Letizia’s trip this week marks her second to the US this year, having flown to New York on September 19 shortly after Queen Elizabeth’s funeral to attend the UN.

For her engagement at the LA centre today, she looked characteristically chic, sporting an outfit boasting neutral colours in warm tones.

The mother-of-two chose a flowing cream midi dress as the centrepiece of her outfit, with long sleeves and a split up one thigh.

In an effort to keep out the Californian breeze, she slung a camel coat over her shoulders, letting the garment hang casually on her frame.

She kept the look neat by matching her pointed heeled shoes to her coat, opting for a pale caramel colour.

And keeping the ensemble understated, she wore a simple pair of hoop earrings and three dainty rings as her only visible jewellery.

In one hand, she casually held a handbag which was carefully coordinated to the rest of her outfit, with camel and cream panels.

Keeping the look chic, Letizia opted for one of her trademark hair looks, donning a sleek straight blow-dry that made her her silky locks look as lustrous as ever.

Letizia also sported her trusted day makeup for the occasion, with her regulation smokey eyes and sculpted brow, and just a dash of bronzer to add a sun-kissed touch to her glowing skin.

Today’s appearance at the Institute followed the royal attending a meeting there one day earlier.

The organisation, which was created in 1991 and is in its 31st year, aims to promote Spanish culture and language throughout the world.

In recent years, Letizia has opened several centres around the world, including in South America.

In the US alone, there are institutes in New York, Albuquerque, El Paso, Seattle, and Chicago.
