Sulli’s former f(x) bandmate Victoria has said her goodbyes to her friend after her tragic death.
Sulli, 25, was found dead at her home in Seongnam on Monday 14 October, with police working off the assumption that she took her own life.
The singer, real name Choi Jin-ri, was in SM Entertainment girl band f(x) from 2009 until 2015 alongside Victoria, Amber Liu, Luna and Krystal – and today, Victoria has shared a tribute to her friend.
The 32-year-old shared a picture of f(x) as a five-piece and wrote: ‘Sulli ~ The weather is nice today. Goodbye ~ I won’t forget you. I love you…’
Fans left messages of support on the Chinese singer’s photo, as well as sharing their own heartbreak at Sulli’s death.
Victoria’s message comes after Amber called off her upcoming activities following Sulli’s passing.
The 27-year-old wrote on her Instagram story: ‘Due to recent events I’ll be putting on hold my upcoming activities. Sorry everyone.
‘Thank you for your thoughts.’
Krystal and Luna have yet to speak out on Sulli’s death.
SM Entertainment, f(x)’s agency, also issued a statement after the Goblin singer’s passing, reading: ‘We apologise for conveying such sad and unfortunate news. Sulli has left our side.
‘We cannot believe the situation now and we are just filled with grief.’
The agency later announced that a memorial would be held for Sulli at Shinchon Severance Hospital where fans could pay their respects.
Sulli had been open about her struggles with trolling, having left f(x) on hiatus in 2014 due to the malicious comments she was receiving online.
A statement at the time from SM Entertainment read: ‘f(x) member Sulli became mentally and physically exhausted from the continuous, malicious comments and false rumours, and has expressed her wish to take a break from her celebrity activities for the time being.
‘After careful deliberation and taking her wish into consideration, we will reduce her activities and let her take a break for the time being.’
A year later, in August 2015, Sulli confirmed she was leaving the group for good.
