Married At First Sight star Georges Berthonneau has revealed he knew his co-star Ella Morgan when she was a stripper and that they almost went out together.
Georges tied the knot with bride Peggy Rose on the Channel 4 show. And Ella, who is making history as the first transgender person to take part in the programme, exchanged vows with Nathanial Valentino.
But during a chat on the Divorced! Beheaded! Thrived! podcast, Georges said that he knew Ella from before. And he said that while he wouldn’t have picked anyone other than Peggy to be his wife, if he had to, it would have been Ella.

“I actually knew Ella from five years ago when I lived in Bristol,” he explained. “I think we originally met in a club, I’m not sure. Or we ended up sliding into each other’s DMs once upon a time.
“We were going to go for a drink, we never did. And then obviously Ella was a dancer and I bumped into her a couple of times at the bar.”
Georges insisted that he “never got a dance” from the TV beauty, joking: “I just like overpriced beer." He added: “Seriously, I never get dances but yes, she was in there and we used to have a good laugh."
The star said that he and Ella get on really well as they are “both extremely inappropriate”, enjoy laughing and joking around and that they are “like big kids together”. He laughed: “I actually think we could have our own sketch together one day because it was like absolute chaos!
“She’s a vibe, she’s a good egg. Yes, she’s got a bit of a tongue on her but she stands up for what she thinks is right.
“And I think she is also… I think she has very much learned as well, that she can be flippant sometimes but with a little bit of a thought process. She can actually go back on herself and go, 'Actually I was wrong', which is really good. That’s a real sign of growth and maturity from her part.”
“She’s funny, she’s hilarious,” Georges added. Oddly, though, Ella has told Peggy on the show that she "doesn't like" Georges a number of times.
