A Place in the Sun is known for its scorching locations, hot property prices and stunning presenters… who have suffered a wardrobe malfunction or two in their time.
Though many fans prefer to focus on the property sales abroad, others have been known to have their hearts set aflutter by the stunning presenters who are on hand to help Brits search for their perfect home in the sun.
From Danni Menzies being caught red-faced as her dress was ‘blown off’ by the wind to Laura Hamilton’s dress popping open while broadcasting live to fans, there has hardly been a hair in place when it comes to dressing to impress.

Daily Star is taking a look at the very raciest of these malfunctions as the show celebrates its 22nd anniversary.
Dress popping open
Presenter Laura Hamilton was preparing to go live on Instagram when her dress zipper popped open – for all her followers to see.
The star was interviewing Britain’s Got Talent star La Voix when she suffered a serious mishap, wowing in a stunning white dress with black polka dots.
But the strapless garment proved more trouble than it was worth, as Laura explained: “You are not going to believe what happened! Literally, okay, as I was about to start the music and stand up, the dress, the zip has popped open!”
Laura then swivelled round so fans could see the stripe of her tanned back where the zip split – but luckily La Voix had nothing but support for her.
She gushed: “Just before we went live, my computer decided to do an update and said I’ve got eight minutes left – and I’ve got no voice today!”
Laura then attempted to fix her “falling apart” dress but to no avail, with La Voix checking: “It’s not going to fall down, is it?” with Laura confirming that it was okay.
Breast milk leakage
Her dress split wasn’t Laura’s only wardrobe malfunction, as she also discussed her boobs leaking breast milk after giving birth to her daughter Tahlia.
She was forced to tell Channel 4 show bosses what was happening as the stains became visible through her dress, explaining to Celebrity Skin Talk host Scott McGlynn: “I travelled with my daughter when she was three weeks old and I was filming.
“I went back to work and I was breastfeeding. And on camera, I had to say to the director, ‘my left boob is about to start leaking milk’.
“And it did. For the rest of the section, I had to cover my boobs with my arms to try and hide it,” she confessed.
Dress 'blown off'
Danni Menzies was left struggling to preserve her modesty after her dress was ‘blown off’ and she had to be sewn into it.
She told Metro that presenters have to wear the same outfit all week for continuity on A Place in the Sun – and that she made the mistake of opting for a wrap-around dress.
She said: “We were filming on a beach one day and I wore a wrap-around dress. It was so windy, it literally blew straight off me.
“We spent the whole day looking for a shop that had a needle and thread because I’d already filmed in it so I had to keep wearing the same one.”
Jasmine Harman red-faced
Jasmine Harman couldn’t cope when a disaster occurred in the middle of filming in Cyprus to discuss the nature trails and hikes in the area.
Opening up to her Instagram followers, the star confessed that the buckle of her shoe had snapped clean off as she begged them for assistance.
She said: “I've just been doing some filming talking about beautiful nature trails and hikes that you can do in Cyprus.
"I was making a joke about wearing impractical shoes. And guess what happened?"
The star then held her shoe up to the camera to show the buckle strap on her wedge heel snapped off, with Jasmine complaining: “My shoe has come apart. I’ve still got two days of filming left to do!”
“Now what? Anyone got any tips?” she begged.
Eye-popping blazer
Scarlette Douglas was left devastated when her bright green and blue floral print blazer was left ruined.
The two brass buttons had popped clean off, with Scarlette teasingly telling her followers: “I ate all the pies…”
She later sucked in a big breath and yanked the blazer tightly around herself to prove that it still fit, and later told fans: “Hey Instagram, so quite a lot of you have been laughing at my pain of my button popping off my jacket.
“Let’s just say I was livid when it happened, because one popped off yesterday and I sewed that one back on, so I had two.
“Reinforced the second one and then the second one popped off today and then the first one popped off again.
“So I went from having two buttons to then one, to two, and then none, so I’m livid.
“I know it’s been a tough couple of years with Covid and everything and I definitely have been comfort eating.
“But I’m going to put it down to the quality of the jacket itself as opposed to my potbelly and me eating a lot when I come to Spain,” she said, adding that she was “livid”.
Strap failure
Presenter Jonnie Irwin had to quickly cover for his wife Jessica when her dress strap gave up the ghost, leaving them both red-faced.
While travelling abroad in Spain, Jonnie took to his social media to share: “Wife’s dress strap failed, my hat half on and glasses wonky, gleeful victims of the ‘free pour’ #ibiza.”
He posted a snap of the unfortunate strap – which they hopefully managed to repair before the end of the holiday.
