Big Brother Late and Live slammed by housemate who says what show is missing

Big Brother Late and Live has been slated by ex-housemate Nicola McLean who reveals what is missing from the show.

The Celebrity Big Brother star says it is nowhere as good as its predecessor Big Brother's Big on the Side – which hosts Rylan and Emma Willis used to front. Nowadays AJ Odudu and Will Best present the show and she says it's nowhere near as good as before.

Nicola said: "I mean, it's no Big Brother's Bit on the Side. I think they're really missing Rylan. I know he really wanted to do it as well.

"So, I just think they've missed a trick. I think that everything that he touches, people love, you know, even him and his mum on Gogglebox. So I'm just shocked he put himself well out there and they didn't choose him.

"Emma took herself out of it, which I was shocked actually because she was bloody brilliant as well. Rylan even bought another Diary Room chair, I saw it on Instagram.

"He is like the ultimate Big Brother fan. So yeah, I think I do I think we're missing him."

"If you have two hosts, you should have one just doing the main show and one just doing the after-show. You know, it just seems all a bit disjointed but yeah not be surprised if Rylan comes back for the celebrity one as he is so much better."

She continued: "The guests they have on as well, they don't even seem like they're watching the show. They need people on there who have been ex-housemates so they can relate to what the contestants are going through. It looks like they've just picked random people and that's not what the public wants."

Nicola also revealed that one of the former hosts Brian Dowling didn't like her and claims he treated her badly on the show.

She explained: "I made it very clear that I didn't think he treated me well. You can see that I was much younger there and I was vulnerable.

"You could see that if you watch it back, you can see that I'm petrified. I didn't even know why I was being booed. I knew that I hadn't done anything horrific, so I was thinking about what had been aired that made these people hate me.

"I know Emma wouldn't have let the boos happen the way they did, and she would have reassured me, but it was like he wasn't reassuring me about anything. It was just letting me sit there with my own anxiety.

"They got rid of him pretty quickly. But I always say 'Be nice to people on the way up because you never know who you'll meet on the way down'."

Big Brother airs Sunday to Thursday on ITV2 and ITVX at 9pm followed by Big Brother Late & Live at 10pm
