Billie Faiers’ glam £1.4m five-bed mansion in jeopardy as neighbours object to glitzy new Essex pad – The Sun

BILLIE Faiers is locked in a row with neighbours over plans to build her dream multi-million-pound Essex mansion – with the current pad having no TOWIE glitz.

The reality TV star and husband Greg Shepherd submitted plans to renovate the rundown 1920s detached house last month.

The property is a far cry from the glamour of the Essex reality show which made her famous.

It currently has an avocado bathroom suite and has old-fashioned decor.

Meanwhile, the rooms contain drab looking furniture and are full of clutter.

Instead, the ex-TOWIE star, 30, and her husband want to replace it with a modern mansion.

The plans include a stunning garden and terrace along with a playroom for the couple’s two kids Nelly, five, and Arthur, two.

Billie’s mansion will also include a vast "man cave" for 33-year-old Greg, which will see the original garage change into a gym and games room.

However, neighbours have objected to the proposals saying the new home will impact on their privacy and will not fit in the local area.

Under the plans, the new house will have five bedrooms, a huge dressing room, a study, a lounge and a kitchen diner.

In planning documents submitted to Brentwood Borough Council, neighbours Mr and Mrs Knapton said: “The proposed extended house will be significantly higher and larger in terms of its footprint than the surrounding houses.

“The design by reason of the large expanse of roof and the bulky two-storey extension of the garage is overly high and appears to be top-sided and bulky."

The couple added: “The proposed house is too close to the boundary with No 10.

“The Easterly flank of the proposed extension will be about 0.6m from the boundary with No 10.”

Billie – who is worth £4million – starred on TOWIE between 2010 and 2016 and married Greg last year in the Maldives.

The couple purchased the new pad near Brentwood, Essex for £1.4 million in January but want to renovate it because the existing 1920s decor is out of date.

Speaking of the new home, the pair explained: “We got the keys at the end of January but it's a huge project, a big renovation.

“We are going in blind because we've never done it before and we are starting from scratch.

"The architect has been in and for what we want to do, it's going to be at least a year or a year and a half until it is safe for us to live in, so we are going to stay where we are for now."

In planning documents submitted to the TOWIE star’s local council, representatives of Billy said: “The new owners liked the character of the existing house and wish to retain and enlarge it for their new family home.

“We have therefore used the features of the house in the extensions to produce a coherent scheme design.”

Brentwood Borough Council will determine the plans in due course.

The Sun Online have contacted Billie's rep for comment.
