Coronation Street viewers have been left in hysterics after Sharon Bentley (Tracie Bennett) tasered Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews) in tonight’s episode.
Resident super sleuth Jenny has been desperate to expose Sharon, as the pub landlady knows full well that she’s not the reformed saint she’s making herself out to be.
This is after Jenny discovered last week that Sharon is related to renowned drug dealer Harvey Gaskell (Will Mellor) and was determined to find out more.
After some digging, Jenny discovered that Sharon had hired the van that was used in Sam Blakeman’s (Jude Riordan) kidnapping.
Jenny eventually spilt the beans to Sharon, revealing that she knows all about the role she played in Sam’s abduction.
Realising she underestimated Jenny, Sharon pleaded for a chance to explain. Jenny, however, set off to inform the police what she’s been up to, leaving Sharon with little choice but to take drastic action.
Without hesitation she reached into her handbag, removed a taser gun and used it on Jenny.
Sharon then gave Jenny another electric shock while she was already passed out on the cobblestones.
The scene had fans in fits of laughter as they couldn’t believe what they’d witnessed, taking to Twitter to share their thoughts.
‘Absolutely howling at #corrie, as if she just whipped out a taser,’ one viewer tweeted.
‘Still not convinced I didn’t just hallucinate that whole taser scene!’ said another.

Another added: ‘Never howled so much at Corrie ever.’
Many fans of the show questioned why anybody would just be walking around with a taser.
‘As if she’s walking round with a taser!’ said one.
Don’t worry though, Sharon ended up calling an ambulance to save Jenny, who recovered in hospital.
