Coronation Street star Stephanie Davis has been rushed to hospital following an injury.
The actress, who plays Courtney Vance in the ITV soap, took to her Instagram stories to update followers on an injury she sustained, posting a video of her swollen ankle.
She pointed out how she had bruised it right on the bone, and revealed that it had completely swollen up and she was unable to lift her leg.
Following the video, she posted an update, explaining that she was now on crutches until she is able to bear weight again, and thanked her fans for sending their love.
She expressed her relief that it wasn’t broken, revealing that it was just very sore.
‘Thanks for all the lovely messages,’ she said, before declaring that she was going to go to bed and rest her foot.
Stephanie recently made her Coronation Street debut, after playing the role of Sinead O’Connor in Hollyoaks for nine years.
Her Corrie character instantly took a shine to young Aadi Alahan (Adam Hussain), and the pair began a secret love affair, which included some raunchy scenes.
While some have been left wondering what Courtney sees in Aadi, Stephanie explained that it all stems from her relationship with husband Darren.
‘Courtney’s really attracted to Aadi but also, it comes from her relationship with Darren. He’s cheated on her multiple times; it’s affected her self-worth and confidence.
‘I know she’s attracted to him but a lot of it is to get one back on her husband. She wants someone to love her, and Aadi shows that.’
It appears that Stephanie has hit it off with her Corrie castmates, as she recently shared pictures with the likes of Ken Barlow actor William Roache at the ITV Summer Party.
