EMILY Atack once gave a lover the boot for being obsessed with football – as The Sun reveals she's been on dates with England ace Jack Grealish.
The 31-year-old revealed she fell for her football-mad beau in 2010 following her stint on Dancing On Ice when she was just 21 and he was 18.
However the relationship wasn't built to last as Emily admitted that she ultimately ended thing because his football obsession showed her that they weren't on the same page.
Emily wrote in her autobiography Are We There Yet: "I would also try to take him with me to friends’ parties, or weddings, and he always had an excuse as to why he couldn’t come.
"He would rather play on the PlayStation or go and play football with his friends when I needed picking up from an airport – this was always the sort of stuff we’d clash over.
"It wasn’t his fault; he just wasn’t in the same place as I was a lot of the time and that was simply because of our age difference."
The Inbetweeners actress added that her former flame, who she refers to only as 'Jason', would "remain very special" to her.
She added: “He will remain very special to me, and I am sorry for always nagging him to turn the football over.”
Earlier this week, The Sun revealed that football ace Jack Grealish was given an ultimatum by his girlfriend Sasha Attwood over telly star Emily.
The Sun revealed on Saturday how the Manchester City winger, 26, had been enjoying secret dates with Emily.
He has remained in touch with her — and even WhatsApped her while on England duty.
However, he is understood to have played down their friendship to on-off girlfriend Sasha, insisting: “We’re just mates.”
The source said: “Emily’s mates, including her ex-boyfriend Charlie (Edwards), have all rallied around her since the news of their relationship broke.
“She’s made it clear to Jack the last thing she wants is to be presented as a home-wrecker when she’s anything but. Jack needs to get his story straight and make a decision.
“The ball is in his court — but Emily’s made it clear to Jack she won’t be a mug and hang around waiting for him.”
The Sun told how Jack — the Premier League’s first £100million player — had been on at least two dates with actress and comedy star Emily.
The pair had also been FaceTiming and had enjoyed a meet-up at Manchester’s Lowry hotel. However, a pal of Jack’s insisted the pair “hadn’t crossed a line”.
'HORRIBLE TROLLING'
Yesterday YouTube star Sasha broke her social media silence for the first time since The Sun’s story.
She took to Instagram and posted two defiant photos — with no caption — prompting a flurry of supportive messages from her fans.
Sasha and Jack met at secondary school. The pair have dated on and off ever since, but he joined celeb dating app Raya earlier this year. According to pals, Emily, who first saw Jack on the site, assumed he was single.
Emily, who played Charlotte Hinchcliffe on TV series The Inbetweeners, has also been bombarded by messages of support by her celebrity pals.
An industry source added: “Much of the follow-up to this story has been pretty sexist — trying to pitch two women against each other. The reality is neither woman has done anything wrong.
“Emily has had some horrible trolling online but her celeb pals have been quick to back her.”
