Emmerdale fans excited as wedding crasher is unveiled as returning Jacob

It was certainty kicking off in Emmerdale on Thursday night, as Leyla Harding was getting prepared to marry her husband-to be Liam Hammond in a romantic ceremony.

But things were not going well for the couple, as Bernice Blackstock was trying her best get in the way of their big day.

After dressing up as a bride and causing havoc in the Dales, viewers were convinced that Bernice would prohibit the couple's big day.

As Leyla and Liam stood at the altar, fans believed Bernice would interrupt the ceremony when the minister said the famous words: "Does anyone here know why this couple should not get married?"

After a short pause, the doors of the church were the wedding was being held started to shutter.

But fans were relived and overjoyed when Jacob Gallagher unexpectedly walked through the door.

Arriving late to the ceremony, Jacob quickly sat down and tried not to disturb the event.

Fans took to Twitter to express their joy with Jacob's return.

One Emmerdale viewer said: "So pleased to see Jacob again."

Another penned: "Ngl, never thought I’d say this, kinda missed jacob."

While a third chimed: "It’s Jacob, oh thank god it wasn’t Bernice."

Later on in the episode, Jacob surprised viewers once again when he took it upon himself to propose to his on-off girlfriend Leanna Cavanagh during the wedding.

But Jacob's proposal didn't go down well at all, as Leanna harshly brushed off his suggestion.

Viewers took to Twitter and shared their thoughts on Jacob's abrupt plans.

One viewer said: "Huh? Jacob and Leanna have been together 5 mins. I’m with Leanna there sorry Jake."

While another Emmerdale fan also agreed with this sentiment and said: "This probably isn't the best moment' yep, it's not Jacob."
