Emmerdale's Amy Wyatt actress Natalie Ann Jamieson shows off pink hair transformation ahead of lockdown

EMMERDALE actress Natalie Ann Jamieson has unveiled her new hair transformation, going at it with the pink hair dye just in time for another lockdown.

The actress, who plays Amy Wyatt on screen, took to Instagram to show off her latest look in two snaps, showing the results during and the day after her trip to the hairdresser.

Natalie, who also has her own podcast series, tagged the first photo, showing her hands running through her brown to pink ombré locks: “You guessed it! Pink hair it is!”

She later added a second photo, showing the look from the front, promising she would stop “spamming” with pictures when the novelty wore off.

“Phew… it’s still pink,” Natalie joked. “Looking in the mirror was exciting today. I’m sure the novelty will soon wear off but while it’s still super exciting, here is the pink from the front!”

It’s not the first time Natalie has undergone a hair transformation – last year, the Geordie star, who joined the show in 2019, went blonde thanks to the Emmerdale’s hair styling team.

And she’s not the first celebrity we’ve seen go pink for lockdown, with the likes of Carol Vordeman, dancer Ashley Banjo and model Lottie Moss also deciding to live life en rose.

While it was so popular that Boots reported they had sold out of the shade online – Natalie took to her local salon for the trending style.

Meanwhile, on screen, romance could be on the cards between Natalie’s character Amy and Matty Barton (played by Ash Palmiscano).

“I don’t think Amy has had much [luck with men] in her life,” Natalie explained in September. “Especially with patterns, she’s had a bit of a bad run in that sense.

“I think when she starts to see that Matty is a genuine and nice guy, she’s like, ‘Do you know what? I’m ready to have somebody who is genuinely good as a partner’.

“She thinks Matty is that person… I’d love to see Amy and Matty get together, that’d be really cute.”
