Escape to the Chateau's Dick and Angel Strawbridge stun fans with rare pic of daughter 'all grown up'

ESCAPE to the Chateau stars Dick and Angel Strawbridge have shared a rare snap of their daughter Dorothy looking all grown up.

Taking to their chateau Instagram page, proud mum Angel showed her seven-year-old doing her make-up and looking very professional.

In the sweet post dedicated to Dorothy, Angel, 43, could be seen sitting on the bed with her eyes closed while the youngster did her make-up.

The mother-daughter pairing looking picture perfect within the large, opulent room as they both dressed in brightly-coloured kaftans.

Dorothy had her hair tied up into a french plait, with glitter throughout, while her mum wore a beige beret and smiled widely.

Angel captioned the post: "On Sunday, as part of The Salon, Angel was in the Strawbridge suite taking us all through her signature hair and make-up routine.

"How lovely is this picture of Angel with Dorothy? A possible make-up artist in the making!"

Fans were quit to head to the comments to praise the sweet picture, and voice how they couldn't believe how much Dorothy had "grown up".

"How did Dorothy get so grown up so fast?" one woman wrote, as another chimed in: H"ow grown up Dorothy looks too!"

"Dorothy looks so grown up," a third said, while a fourth told of how her daughter used to "play" with make-up, only to become an artist.

"I used to come home from working full time and delighted in when my daughter Lois transformed into ‘Patricia the Beautician’ laying me down on my bed and doing a relaxing cleanse, tone and moisturise for her jaded mum," she wrote.

"She’s now a successful makeup artist, doing shoots, editorials and events, so keep up the good work Dorothy!"

It comes shortly after Angel burst into tears on the latest episode of Escape to the Chateau: Make and Mend as she spoke about her late mum.

In the series they're helping other couples with DIY projects after famously transforming a crumbling French chateau into a fairytale castle.

But one couple's transformation brought Adoree to tears as they chatted to Susanne and Luke via a video call.

“A few weeks ago Susanne and Luke came to us looking to transform her grandmother’s old wardrobe into a shoe storage showstopper,” explained Strawbridge.

“And now for the big reveal,” Adoree added. “I’m very excited.”

Speaking to the couple from their impressive library, Adoree was floored at their project.

They saw how the couple had painted the wardrobe blue inside and had lots of shelves to show off the cool shoes.

“It looks good, it was a joint effort,” Luke commented as Adoree became overwhelmed with emotion.

Adoree broke down in tears again: “Thats’ so sweet, I’m sorry.”

Redheaded entrepreneur Adoree is known in the interior design world and favours outrageous prints and re-purposing long neglected vintage objects.

She is best known for writing the Vintage Tea Party book series, and she's also a trained image consultant.

Adoree married Strawbridge – whom she met via their shared agent – in November 2015, and they raised two children together, Arthur and Dorothy.

They quit the UK in 2015 in search of a better life in France.

They purchased a 19th-century chateau – Chateau-de-la-Motte Husson – in the Pays de la Loire, and began restoring the property.

The property, which is featured in TV show Escape To The Chateau, has 45 rooms, 78 windows, 12 acres and one moat.

They paid £280,000 for the chateau, but it came with no electricity, heating or water – and a sanitation system that was emptied into the moat.
