Harry Redknapp tipped for ‘dream job’ EastEnders role after begging bosses for a cameo when the Queen Vic reopens

HARRY Redknapp could be propping up bar of the Queen Vic after he revealed his “dream job” would be on EastEnders and begged bosses for a cameo.

The King of the Jungle revealed his soap-land plans while chatting with his former campmate Fleur East.

Harry, 73, made the surprise comments during a chat on The Reality of Reality TV with Fleur East podcast.

The football legend made lots of frank comments about his career history, telling Fleur that his “dream gig” is to be part of the Walford elite.

He said: “I really want a part in EastEnders. That is my long-term dream. I wanna be in the pub. And I can see it now. I've got it planned.”

Harry went on with his plans for the soap: “They're at the bar, they're going, ‘Here, I hear Redknapp's moved back into the Square, hasn't he? Yeah, well, he's gone skint or something? He lived down in Sandbanks. He must have done his dough.’

“And suddenly I'm in the pub. And there I am, in EastEnders.”

Speaking about Harry’s stunning Sandbanks home, The Sun revealed he and wife Sandra recently sold the property with a tidy £3 million profit for the ex-Tottenham boss.

The transfer market wheeler-dealer is said to be selling up his Millionaire's Row property on the famous Sandbanks stretch of mansions.

Daily Star report on a £7m agreement to sell the Dorset pad.

Stretched over four floors, it features floor-to-ceiling windows allowing its occupants a stunning view of the South Coast sea.

Redknapp and wife Sandra are reportedly moving to a £3.8m property nearby.

That is said to feature an orangery and double garage, with the home currently being built on a plot of land owned by Sheffield Wednesday boss Garry Monk.

And Harry had to pull out his old negotiating skills to seal the deal with Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson named as a rival bidder.

The Star quotes a source as saying: “Harry has done incredibly well.

“He’s earning a fortune from the sale and bagging the house of his dreams.

"He’s used to making deals on the transfer market, so it’s no surprise he’s done well in real estate several times.

"Although he loves Sandbanks, the new place is the last one he’ll buy to live in.

“It’s where he and Sandra can retire and spend quality time with the grandkids.”
