I’m A Celebrity viewers have hit out over all 11 campmates having to share four small apple pies between them after winning a challenge. Former BBC Breakfast presenter Louise Minchin and football star David Ginola were overjoyed when they won the pies during Tuesday’s instalment of the ITV reality show. However, fans were left outraged by the “cruel” portion sizes the campmates had to share.

During the episode, Louise and David took on the latest Castle Coin Challenge in a bid to win a tasty treat for the celebrity contestants.

Louise read the scroll: “The Lords’ ponies are hungry. They demand to be fed. Search within the crates to find the red apples. Get one in each bucket, by sliding it down the board, then off you can trot, to claim your reward.”

Searching through the crates, Louise said: “Everything I found I was like, ‘Oh great, it was a tomato… Oh great, it was an onion…”

Louise admitted David was much better at finding the apples, but the first two apples she sent down the plank went straight into the bucket.

David laughed: “You’re so lucky! Have you played basketball before? You’re like Michael Jordan, amazing!”

Louise replied: “It wasn’t that smelly, I think that’s because we probably smell pretty rank right now. But none of us can smell each other anymore can we?”

David missed a few buckets while trying to get the apples in and said: “There’s always pressure, but it’s fine.”

The duo managed to win the coins and headed to Kiosk Cledwyn’s Ye Olde Shoppe where Twiglets or apple pie was on offer as the reward.

David had never heard of Twiglets so Louise explained: “They’re like little breadsticks with like marmite over them.”

A confused David said: “I think apple pie, everyone will love it.”

The camp question was: “According to a recent survey, what percentage of adults said they pretended to be bad at a job in the hope that they wouldn’t be asked to do it again? A 20 percent or B 37 percent?”

The campmates opted for 20 percent and got it correct, and David then joked about running away with the four small apple pies they’d won.

Cara added: “They are so stingy with these treats, four pies between 11 of them.”

Jayne Ballantyne commented: “Four apple pies between 11 people? That’s a bit mean, how does that even work?”

Anthony Shannon remarked: “Four Mr Kipling apple pies between 11 of them? That’s just so mean! #ImACeleb”

Mike added: “Four little mini apple pies – that’s an insult. How do you share that among 11 campmates? #ImACeleb”
