Justin Bieber’s spent plenty of time on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in the past. The pop star’s established a great relationship with Ellen DeGeneres, as she seems to know every detail regarding his personal life. And he recently visited her show once again in December 2020.
When Justin talked to DeGeneres recently, he mentioned he knew she was going to “roast him” as soon as he got there, too. Here’s what happened.
Justin Bieber talked about life with Hailey Bieber on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’
Justin’s made plenty of headlines thanks to his relationship with wife Hailey Bieber. The two seem as happy as can be, and it’s clear Justin truly loves and cares for Hailey. While visiting DeGeneres in December 2020, the topic of Hailey and Justin’s relationship came up — and things got awkward when DeGeneres asked if the couple’s planning on having kids.
“How many kids are you going to have, and when?” DeGeneres asked mid-conversation with Justin.
“I’m going to have as many as Hailey is wishing to push out,” Justin answered. “I’d love to have myself a little tribe. But, yeah, it’s her body and whatever she wants to do.” Justin then noted that Hailey most likely wants a number of kids, too.
“What are ya’ll waiting for?” DeGeneres added. “You know you love kids, you’re so good with kids. What’s the holdup?”
Justin then explained that Hailey has other things she wants to accomplish and she’s not ready for kids yet — and that’s totally OK.
Justin told Ellen DeGeneres he knew she’d ‘roast him’ on the show
Justin’s well-aware of DeGeneres’ funny personality, as she’s taken many jabs at him in the past. While visiting the show in December 2020, Justin wore a hat — but he didn’t wear one of his signature beanies. And he told DeGeneres he knew she’d “roast him” for wearing a beanie, which is why he wore a different type of hat for his interview.
“We’re going to give you a little gift just because you wear beanies a lot,” DeGeneres told Justin. “You didn’t wear one today because you knew I was going to give you beanie problems.”
“I knew you were going to roast me for it,” Justin said.
“Not roast you!” DeGeneres mentioned.
“In a fun way,” Justin added.
“In a loving way,” DeGeneres said. She then gave him a special Ellen Show beanie for him to wear.
DeGeneres has embarrassed Justin in the past
We can’t forget the various ways DeGeneres has embarrassed Justin over the years. When his song “Yummy” came out, DeGeneres made a point to ask him about it on the show — and it made him blush.
“So, here’s what I want to ask. ‘Yummy’ — what does that mean exactly?” DeGeneres asked him. “I mean, I think I know. But what were you thinking of when you wrote that ‘yummy, yummy.’”
“My sex life,” Justin answered — and he then seemed ultra-embarrassed when the conversation continued.
During another interview between Justin and DeGeneres, DeGeneres called the singer out for bringing a “friend” along on a vacation with him. “You just brought a friend to Bora Bora?” DeGeneres asked about the mystery woman in Justin’s bed. “And you’re just naked with your friend?”
“Why are you putting me on the spot like this?” Justin fought back.
It was all in good fun, of course — and it’s clear Justin respects DeGeneres, as he continues to visit her show.
