KIM Kardashian's date to the Met Gala was revealed after fan speculation that she was joined by her ex-husband Kanye West.
The Keeping Up With The Kardashian's star made her first appearance last night since her ex confessed to "cheating" during their marriage.
Kim, 40, was joined by Balenciaga Creative Director Demna Gvasalia in matching full-body black outfits for her 2021 Met Gala debut.
The reality star paired a skin-tight black tee-shirt dress with matching gloves, leggings that stretched over pointed-toe heels, and a mask that covered her entire face, flowing back into a magnificent train.
The Balenciaga designer joined his muse in a black hoodie, fully-covered face mask, black pants, and slippers as the two embodied the fashion statement.
There was much speculation that the masked man was in fact Kim's ex-husband Kanye West, however an E! News insider squashed the rumors.
Though the rapper was not present for fashion's biggest evening, the source claimed that "His presence will be felt on the carpet."
"It was him who introduced Kim to Demna and was instrumental in the newly formed relationship between her and Balenciaga," they explained, referencing Kim's new journey in fashion.
"This look on Kim is like a new subculture and fashion statement. No logo, no face, but everyone knows it's her."
They continued: "Kanye gave her the courage to push creativity and people's imagination through art. It's the ultimate confidence."
KIM'S NEW LOOK
Kim has been sporting looks with complete face-coverings of late, and last week appeared at New York Fashion Week in a show-stopping Balenciaga head-to-toe leather look with a matching face cover.
The mother of four has gone for "bondage-inspired" bodysuits from the luxury brand for public appearances both on the red carpet and at her ex-Kanye West's Donda listening events.
The KKW Beauty founder's Met Gala appearance followed the news that the rapper had UNFOLLOWED her on social media earlier this week.
SOCIAL MEDIA DISS
After months of following just his ex-wife on Instagram, the 44-year-old wiped his list of her name and instead replaced her with twelve other music-related accounts.
However, the singer has since refollowed the mother of his kids on the platform.
'CHEATING' KANYE
The diss came after Kanye admitted to cheating on Kim during their marriage, leaving her "conflicted" and heartbroken.
Last month, when the controversial star dropped his tenth studio album Donda, one of his songs alluded to infidelity.
"Here I go with a new chick… Still playing after two kids," he rapped in one verse of the track Hurricane.
According to Page Six, Kanye “betrayed” Kim and cheated while the couple was together as he struggled with alcohol abuse.
"The song is in a way his testimony of everything he did wrong and taking accountability for the marriage breakdown," the insider claimed.
“If you look closer to the lyrics he is referring to his infidelity during his marriage with Kim, even after two kids,” a second source added.
In February, Kim filed for divorce from Kanye after seven years of marriage.
The pair share four kids, North, eight; Saint, five; Chicago, three, and Psalm, two.
