Love Island viewers have been left on the edge of their seats recently, as the contestants were made to either stay in their couple or recouple with someone else, following the iconic Casa Amor segment of the show.

On Friday evening’s highly-anticipated episode, Liam Reardon was seen returning to the villa alone, despite getting to know new girl Lillie in Casa Amor, and even kissing the blonde beauty.

Before entering Casa Amor, Liam had coupled up with Millie Court, who he’d affectionally nicknamed Millie Moo, however fans were left shocked after Liam’s eyes wandered to Lillie Haynes, and the pair swiftly formed a connection.

Liam, who previously said his “head had been scrambled,” decided not to upset Millie however, and returned to the villa without Lillie, in nail-biting scenes.

Millie looked as happy as ever, but that soon changed as Lillie entered the villa.

Fans flocked to Twitter to share their shock at Liam returning to the villa alone and then laughing when Lillie revealed their connection.

"YES LILLIE CALL HIM OUT," wrote one, while another said: "i’m so upset for teddy and millie right now #LoveIsland."

Another said: "Why is Liam smiling so much, poor Millie," and a fourth added: "Liam is the worst – the one that sells you the dream and keeps secrets, thinks he’ll get away with it & totally changes when caught out."

Lillie swiftly told the islanders what had happened between her and Liam and she entered the villa.

"I feel like I had a good connection with someone the second I got in there. It was very reciprocated. Very 50/50, and yeah, I'm very surprised I'm standing here right now," Lillie explained.

She added it was Liam she'd had a connection with, shocking her fellow contestants.

Laura asked what made her feel like they'd had a connection: "I feel like the actions were pretty equal. We shared a bed together, kissed outside of challenges."

Millie moved away from Liam in shock, and asked him to explain, adding: "That's f***king disgusting."

Liam said: "I told her where my head was at from the start. She was attracted to me. She said to give her a chance so I could compare the both."

Liam’s family have been sent a series of horrific messages over social media after his recent antics in Casa Amor.

His actions while being away from Millie left fans fuming and Liam's sister Niamh, who is controlling all of his social media accounts while he's on the programme, has revealed she's been sent "death threats".

Pleading with Love Island fans, she told Daily Star: “Remember there is a family member behind all contestants’ accounts.

"With this type of programme there will be judgments but any vile, vulgar or threatening messages will not be tolerated. He's my younger brother."

Liam's friend and former Love Islander Joshue Ritchie, 27, also spoke out about the awful messages Niamh has received as he added: “One of my friends is on Love Island, his sister is receiving death threats on his account.

"Before writing something on social media just remember who’s behind the phone.”
