Liberty Poole and Jake Cornish have quit Love Island 2021 just three days before the final, according to reports.
During heartbreaking scenes in last night’s episode, Liberty split with Jake, blaming their differences for the break-up.
Fans feared the pair may have reconciled but according to sources, they’ve already fled the villa.
‘It was a really tough decision for the couple to make, but it felt like the right thing to do,’ an insider told Mail Online.
‘They’d given it their all on camera and wanted to let their friends in other couples have a chance at winning.
‘Saying goodbye was emotional for all the islanders, as they’ve become so close, like family, but it won’t be long before they’re all reunited.
‘It’s not 100 per cent over for Jake and Liberty, there are still a lot of feelings involved, so who knows what will happen on the future.’
During the latest instalment, 21-year-old Liberty confided in Faye Winter and told Jake: ‘I just don’t feel like you love me for me and I want someone who loves me for me.’
‘I feel like I can do anything right,’ she added. ‘I don’t want to continue this feeling like I have to change for anyone.’
The departure leaves Faye and Teddy Soares, Liam Reardon and Millie Court, Kaz Kamwi and Tyler Cruickshank, as well as Chloe Burrows and Toby Aromolaran in the running for the £50,000 prize.

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
