With relatives such as Gemma’s dad Michael Owen and Ekin-Su's brother making waves outside of the villa, fans can’t get enough of the prospect of the Islanders’ loved ones making their debut in Mallorca.

Last year's Islander Kaz Kamwi's sister Banji spoke to OK! Magazine about what it is like to enter the villa as a family member.

From confiscated possessions to off-limits conversations, 25-year-old Banji reveals what happens when you take part in the fan-favourite episode, which conversations are off limits and why watches are banned.

The family are told to behave 'naturally' and have a 'good time' but there are some topics that are completely off limits.

Banji said: “We were told that we weren’t allowed to talk about the outside world in relation to the show,”

“You are allowed to speak about things that have happened in relation to family life, but you couldn’t talk about things that had happened as a result of the show."

They also aren't allowed to take watches into the villa, because of the strict set of rules that Islanders must adhere to.

She explained that if they found out the time it might 'disorientate' the Islanders.

She also gave a bit of advice to any family member that is entering the villa.

She said that it is easy to get 'overwhelmed' but she also said: “I would encourage anyone going in this year to forget about the stress and to enjoy themselves and smile."

Gemma Owen's dad Michael has already confirmed that he will not be entering the villa but fans could be seeing another appearance from Ekin-Su's brother.

Ekin's brother Arda has been on Love Island: Aftersun to talk about his sibling’s presence on the show and how he has been concerned for her.

The younger sibling made a case for him to follow in his sister’s footsteps, brazenly telling host Laura Whitmore: “People ask me, ‘is it weird to see your sister on TV, but I’ve expected this to happen since day dot.

"I think she was born to do this and I’m glad you guys are starting to see my sister on TV now and see what she’s like.
