Carey Mulligan has had a hugely successful career, especially recently, as she has appeared in Netflix movie The Dig, and now Promising Young Woman. The latter may be the role which earns Carey an Oscar, with her having been nominated for Best Actress at the Golden Globes.
Who is in Promising Young Woman?
Carey Mulligan plays the leading role of Cassie, while Bo Burnham plays Cassie’s love interest Ryan.
Connie Britton plays the college dean, Elizabeth Walker, while Laverne Cox is Gail.
There are a huge number of famous actors who have supporting roles, including Adam Brody, Max Greenfield, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Alfred Molina, Molly Shannon, Jennifer Coolidge and Alison Brie.

The film focuses on a young woman who pretends to get drunk in clubs and on nights out, and allows men to take her home before revealing her sobriety, and teaching them a lesson.
However, on making a big discovery relating to Ali’s rape, she begins to exact revenge on those who failed to help her.
Some of this includes preying on young men, returning to those who were involved and getting back at the women who didn’t believe it really happened.
It may be, as a result, that some of these supporting roles will be unfortunate enough to incur Cassie’s wrath in the film.
The film was written and directed by Emerald Fennell, a British filmmaker who has been nominated for two Oscars for her work on it.
The movie has also been nominated for three other Oscars: Best Actress for Carey Mulligan, Best Editing and Best Picture.
Carey’s career has recently seen her much more in the public eye with some daring film roles.
This movie is one of them, due to its grim subject matter, and she also played real-life history enthusiast Edith Pretty in The Dig.
She was recently announced as being part of the cast of the upcoming Adam Sandler movie Spaceman, which is believed to be another example of Adam’s serious roles, which have gained critical acclaim.
The film was recently released in the UK as a Sky Original on Sky Cinema, meaning those who have access to NOW TV and Sky Cinema will be able to watch the film as part of their subscription.
Other than those officially linked to the film, any website claiming to have the film for streaming or download is illegal.
The Digital Economy Act 2017 means people could now face ten-year prison sentences for illegally streaming copyrighted content.
