Spoilers: Belle exposes Jamie in huge Emmerdale twist as she calls the police

Jamie Tate (Alexander Lincoln) learned that one should never underestimate a Dingle in Emmerdale tonight (September 23), as Belle (Eden Taylor-Draper) reported him to the police in a shock twist.

With Andrea (Anna Nightingale) having informed her about Jamie being responsible for the hit-and-run, Moira (Natalie J Robb) invited Belle round so that she could confront her on the matter.

Belle lied, pretending that she didn’t have a clue what Moria was talking about — something which left Cain (Jeff Hordley) fuming.

Belle hightailed it up to Home Farm to tell Jamie about what Andrea had done, and while he did initially exhibit signs of some fear, he soon came to realise that there isn’t a shred of evidence tying him to the crime.

He revealed that the car parts are at the bottom of a nearby lake, but Belle reckoned that he’d best check to be sure.

Therefore, she and Jamie set off to the lake and upon their arrival, Jamie declared his love for Belle — praising her for staying by his side amid all the drama.

However, their happiness was short-lived, as Cain arrived with a bat in hand, and as he approached Jamie, Belle intervened — revealing that she’s called the police.

A smug Jamie watched on, but little did he know that Belle meant that she’d reported him to the police — not Cain.

Yes, Belle has evidently been playing Jamie this whole time in an effort to secure the evidence needed to put him behind bars.
