'The Bachelorette': Tayshia Adams Said the Idea of Getting Married Again Stressed Her out

The Bachelorette finale airs this week after a season that included the first dual leads in series history. Tayshia Adams, a history-making Bachelorette, will make her pick and the world will be watching.

This season of ‘The Bachelorette’ is coming to an end

Adams’ arrival on the show was very eventful, considering she became the first lead of The Bachelorette to join mid-season. Her predecessor, Claare Crawley, chose a suitor after just a few weeks. When Crawley left, a lot of the remaining contestants became nervous about what the rest of the season could hold. However, the transition was relatively season and the show went on!

Adams, of course, is a contestant from season 23 of The Bachelor. She later appeared on Bachelor in Paradise. In the shocking episode leading to Crawley leaving and Adams’ arrival, host Chris Harrison said, “The path we’re on right now, it doesn’t end well … for anybody,” Though Crawley. said she “waited so long for this,” she ended up exiting and left the competition with Dale Moss.

With Adams being the second Black Bachelorette and the second Latina (following Crawley), she provides a lot of representation.

She also wasn’t sure how being in this role would pan out, but wanted to shatter expectations. “I will admit, I didn’t know what to expect being the Bachelorette,” she said in an interview with Black Girl Nerds.

“I didn’t know if I was gonna be told, ‘Oh no, you have to talk to this guy a little bit?’ Sure you see those headlines being talked about? I’m human. Of course, I might think that that might be a thing. I will tell you when I was in that situation, nobody told me anything. I was navigating those relationships with my heart and with my head. I guess a stereotype that I want to break is, I hope you’re seeing me explore every relationship, no matter what the man looks like. I think that that’s one thing that I am proud of myself for doing is truly being present in every conversation and seeing if there is a connection.”

Tayshia Adams was stressed leading up to her final decision

In an exclusive clip released by Entertainment Weekly ahead of the episode, Adams revealed that the idea of getting married again “stressed” her out.

“The idea of getting married again — that is something that kind of stresses me out,” she said in the clip. “It’s overwhelming. This involves our families, it involves a lot of risk. It’s just all hitting me that this is it. I have been down this road before, and I’ve never want to. experience that heartache that I experienced in my last marriage This i the biggest decision of my life…and I have no idea what I’m going to do.

The latest season of The Bachelorette comes to a close Tuesday night on ABC.
