This Morning presenter Alison Hammond has revealed she will be celebrating Christmas Day with her ITV co-star and good friend Josie Gibson.
The former Big Brother stars, who have forged a close friendship since springing to fame on separate series of the reality show, will be spending the day at Alison’s home in Birmingham where they will also be joined by their children.
Alison, who is part of ITV daytime’s Christmas Day line-up alongside her co-hosts Dermot O’Leary, Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, explained: “This Christmas, Josie Gibson and her son are with me on Christmas Day for dinner and I just can’t wait!”
The 46-year-old went on to say that she was excited to do the cooking for her VIP guests – especially as she’d recently picked up some tips from a segment that aired on the ITV show.
Alison, who is mum to teenage son Aiden, continued: “We did an item on the show recently about growing your own festive vegetables.”
“So I’m keen to do it – potatoes, carrots, a bit of beetroot and some sprouts.”
And there’s guaranteed to be plenty of laughter and fun on the day between the duo, who are often praised by viewers for providing TV gold.
Opening up about their relationship in the past, the duo exclusively told OK! that they had grown “really close”.
Revealing that she had sweetly nicknamed Alison ‘Queenie’, Josie, 36, said: “She’s an absolute queen. Everything she does is from the heart.”
Josie added: “She’s got something really special about her. I’m definitely the Robin to her Batman.”

The pair also credited one another with helping each other through tough days during the lockdowns.
Alison said: “Josie and I are really close. We spoke to each other every day during lockdown.”
Josie agreed, saying: “Alison actually got me through lockdown. She was there for me on the phone every night, and we decided to get very spiritual together.”
The Bristolian star, who recently hosted This Morning alongside Phillip Schofield, continued to sing her BFF’s praises by saying: “I love her. Being around Alison is like having a permanent hug.”
Elsewhere, Alison’s co-host Dermot O’Leary revealed he will be enjoying a family day after missing out on seeing his extended family during last year’s lockdown.
He explained: “This year, my Christmas morning will start with a sea swim. Hopefully we’ll have a chance this year and it won’t be too cold.”
Dermot, 48, who is dad to son Kasper with wife Dee, concluded: “I’m going to enjoy being with the wider family this year.
