'Vanderpump Rules': Lala Kent Reveals Whether She Will Return to the Show While Pregnant

Lala Kent is one of the latest members of the Vanderpump Rules cast to announce her pregnancy. Kent is known for getting into pretty wild arguments on the show and telling people exactly what is on her mind. Will she continue to do that once the baby is born?

Lala Kent’s baby plans

Originally, Kent wanted to get married to her boyfriend Randall Emmett before getting pregnant but the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic caused their wedding plans to be a bit unstable.

“Lala is ready, that’s all I can say,” Emmett told Us Weekly in June of Kent’s stance on having a baby. “The thing was, she had a plan. I think COVID definitely changed how we look at life. [She said], ‘Okay, I’m gonna take my IUD out, we’re gonna get married, and then we’ll have babies, we’ll go on our honeymoon, blah blah blah,’ but COVID hit and it was like, nope, your plans are not happening that way.”

How did Lala Kent tell Randall Emmett she was pregnant?

Though Kent and Emmett had started trying to get pregnant, things went more quickly than planned. When Kent found out she was expecting, she was at Camp Highlander.

“Randall, my mom, and London went off to do their thing at camp,” she said on an episode of Give Them Lala…With Randall. “They went to do archery. Rylee, my little soul sister, was like, ‘I’m trying to take a bath.’ She’s in the bath and I’m bored so I’m like, ‘I’m going to take that [pregnancy] test. So it pops up, ‘Pregnant,’ and I look up at Rylee and I was like, ‘Do you know what this means? This means Lala is going to have a baby.’ She stands up, screams, ‘You’re going to have a baby! We gotta tell my dad right now.”

She and Emmett’s daughter Rylee then put the pregnancy test in a popcorn box and gave it to Emmett when he got home.

Will Lala Kent return to ‘Vanderpump Rules’?

Filming for Vanderpump Rules is currently on hiatus due to the pandemic. But when the show does return, Kent isn’t sure if she will be on it.

“I need to see what next season would entail,” she recently told Entertainment Tonight. “I need to make sure that’s a healthy space for me. I don’t get to think just about what’s good for Lala and how she would react to certain things, you know? I’m going to be a mother. … I have my own child looking up to me, so it would have to be the right situation. It’s a different zone now. Brittany and I are becoming moms, I just don’t see me walking into SUR clapping back at Danica [Dow] for serving me the wrong meal, you know? A lot is going to change.”

If Kent does return to the show, she doubts she will be quite as rambunctious as before.

“I don’t want her to have a mom that’s popping off left and right,” she said. “There’s a lot of things that are going to change. Now, I’m not saying I won’t clap back, because that’s just in my DNA but, yeah, I think I’m going to be much more delicate. I hope.”
