Where is Rylan Clark-Neal?

RYLAN Clark-Neal has been missing from his shows for weeks now and fans are concerned about his health and welfare.

The 32-year-old has been off the airwaves since May, after he suddenly pulled out of Eurovision hosting duties with sickness.

Is Rylan Clark-Neal unwell?

Rylan has reportedly been plagued by illness over the past month, which has kept him out of some of his regular presenting gigs.

The star's last appearance on his Saturday afternoon Radio 2 show was on May 8, but station bosses could not confirm when he'd be back.

In May, it was confirmed that the former X-Factor star had been forced to pull out from Eurovision coverage having “been in the weather” in the days before.

A spokesperson told BBC: "Unfortunately Rylan is unwell so won’t be providing commentary for the upcoming Eurovision Semi Finals on BBC Four.

“However Eurovision superfan Sara Cox will be joining Scott Mills and Chelcee Grimes live in London bringing viewers all the action from the Ahoy Arena in Rotterdam tonight & later this week."

His withdrawal from hosting duties came after he had revealed in March that he was “taking a break” off social media due to horrific trolling.

Speaking on the Sorted with the Dyers podcast, he said: "I love social media, social media is not only lucrative when it comes down to money, it's brilliant for communication, there are so many plus sides to it.

"But I found in the last three weeks, me looking at my phone, looking at my feed, looking at what is trending more so and I'm just getting to that point where I'm thinking this is a f***ing sewer."

Fans have become increasingly concerned about Ryan's health.

One wrote on Twitter: "Where's @Rylan gone? I miss him from my radio! Hope he's ok."

Another said: "Loving @OtiMabuse on @BBCRadio2 this avo but where’s@Rylan ? It’s been a while now – hoping all ok. We miss u man #WheresRylan."

A third chimed in: "So glad #firsttimemum is back but where’s@Rylan it’s just not the same."

Rylan was also said to be left 'distraught' following the death of his close friend Nikki Grahame.

The tragic Big Brother contestant died in April following a long battle with anorexia.

How is Rylan Clark-Neal doing?

The state of Rylan’s health is unknown with the TV presenter currently residing away from social media.

In January, it was revealed that Rylan would be spending more time at home after announcing that he was quitting This Morning.

In an exclusive interview with The Sun, Rylan admitted he quit the popular daytime show after getting too comfortable.

And he believes he made his exit at the right time – adding he's "gutted" about Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes being axed.

"I haven't been on This Morning for about two years now," Rylan said.

"I had a lovely time there and learnt a lot when it came down to working live and going on to host the show eventually.

"I took a step back and I think it was the right decision for me to get out of that bubble of not really pushing myself.

"I loved This Morning, but now it's nice to sit and watch it from home instead."

Why did Rylan pull out of Gogglebox?

It was confirmed that Rylan would be missing from the latest series of Celebrity Gogglebox due to the health of his mother Linda.

The pair had appeared together on the Channel 4 show last year and proved particularly popular with audience members.

Among their many plaudits, fans reportedly loved the banter between the mother and son duo.

However, his mum Linda, 68, has battled with Crohn's since her 30s – a condition that causes inflammation of the lining of the digestive system.

She also contracted sepsis in 2018, which almost killed her.

Speaking about whether he would return to Gogglebox last year, Rylan told The Mirror: "It'll be a year away now, we were really lucky to be part of the first one and the second one.

"It'll all just depend on what we're doing and if my mum's well enough. We're never gonna say never we don't know what position we're going to be in eventually."

The show resumed on June 4 with a number of new celebrities including Lorraine Kelly, Geri Halliwell and Clare Balding.

Viewers had previously took to Twitter in anticipation of the series, with one writing: "Oh thank goodness I thought we had to wait months!"

Another added: "Fantastic! I love all of these!! Can’t wait!"
