Will Lucifer Morningstar die in Lucifer season 6?

The fifth outing is titled The Murder of Lucifer Morningstar and was written by Lloyd Gilyard Jr.

One fan suggested Lucifer’s vulnerability had returned and he may have died after all.

They simply tweeted: “Means he’s vulnerable again?” alongside a worried emoji.

Lucifer is only vulnerable around Chloe Decker (Lauren German) and it was only revealed why in season five.

Lucifer’s vulnerability around Chloe is a subconscious choice by the character as he wants to be so around her.

This means if Lucifer was injured or even killed when around Chloe, his power of immortality would no longer work.

Therefore, if Lucifer if still vulnerable around Chloe by season six, he could well have been murdered in front of Chloe.

There are endless other possibilities for the title, including Lucifer faking his own death and his return to Hell.

With the majority of fans expressing their fear, others are keeping their fingers crossed and offering alternative explanations.

For example, one fan suggested the episode title has been taken from a line in the episode.

One hopeful Lucifer fan tweeted: “I’m trying to decipher if this title is actually about Lucifer being killed or something else.

“I don’t think y’all would release a title with spoilers like that… I have a feeling it’s just him being dramatic lmao [sic].”

Another Lucifer fan shared their theory on the episode title.

They suggested the episode title could be related to the murder mystery book Ella Lopez (Aimee Garcia) is writing.

They tweeted: “I have visions now of her doing a ‘pitch’ to a publisher and the ‘murder’ is acted out as scenes with the characters… sort of like the 200th ep of [Stargate] SG1 did.”

Fans will have to wait until season six drops on Netflix to find out.
