Man left ‘traumatised’ as robot vacuum causes havoc after encountering dog poo

Technology is a real wonder, enabling us to do so many things our grandparents – and even our parents – would have thought impossible.

Occasionally, however, technology goes rogue and gadgets go haywire, leaving us wondering where it all went wrong and reminiscing about the good old days when life was simpler.

Take the robo vacuum, for example. This handy device cleans the house independently of you, so you can get on with other things, like go out.

This is what Florida-based Ryan Landy, 23, recently did.

Unfortunately for Ryan, his Roomba encountered his dog's poo,  and, like a good vacuum, tried to clean it up.


"My new Roomba ran over my dog's s**t and proceeded to 'clean' the rest of my house," he wrote on Facebook and Reddit . "I'm going to need therapy."

To show just how stomach-churning the fallout was, Ryan also added two photos.

One showed the bathroom floor covered in brown smears and track marks from the robot.

The other showed the poo-clogged bottom of the Roomba, which can cost up to  — which, depending on the model, can cost as much as £800, depending on the model.
