One Block Down Announces Its New Vans Slip-On "Dog Days" Collaboration

Europe is home to a superfluity of streetwear boutiques and sneaker retailers, one of which is One Block Down which is located in Milan, Italy. The Italian entity is known to often participate in collaborative footwear projects, and it has just announced its newest custom Slip-On “Dog Days” capsule with Vans.

For this new initiative, One Block Down delved into the DIY genesis that’s associated with the classic easy-on-easy-off silhouette. Three colorways including the “Caution,” “Bonfire” and “Grass” have been decorated by hand. Intricate sets of beads have been laid down on the upper with extreme precision and follows the lines of the checkerboard patterns. A staggering 10 hours were required to complete one single shoe. When light strikes down on the hand-applied beads, the result is a reflection of the two-toned finish.

If you’re interested in scooping up a pair, it’d be best to set your alarms because only a mere 107 pairs were produced given the tedious and strenuous work it took to produce them. The full collection is slated to launch at 9am CET exclusively via One Block Down. Check out a closer look at the pairs above.
