The Great Frog and Playboy Present Extensive Co-Crafted Collection of Jewelry and Apparel

London-based jewelry brand The Great Frog has joined forces with Playboy for an extensive collection that includes everything from rings and necklaces to jackets and t-shirts. The offerings include a compelling juxtaposition of two brands with strong — but largely different — iconography. Playboy, founded in 1953 represents a cheeky brand of elegance, while The Great Frog, conceptualized in 1972, has long been inspired by heavy metal music.

These dashingly divergent inspirations are most notable on the collection’s jewelry pieces: brass, silver and gold rings that combine Playboy’s familiar bunny with signature The Great Frog additions like skulls, beads and other charms. Though the collection’s apparel includes graphic-printed hoodies, crewnecks and tees that merge the Playboy bunny with The Great Frog’s green snake graphic, the most interesting RTW piece is a field jacket with a zip-up hood that boasts patch detailing on its chest and back alike.

Interested parties can purchase pieces from The Great Frog x Playboy collection exclusively at Selfridges until August 16. The partners’ pop-in at the famed London retail location even includes a Playboy x The Great Frog Harley Davidson ‘69 generator Shovelhead chopper that was custom built by TGF creative director and owner Reino Lehtonen-Riley.
