Ferne McCann and fiancé Lorri Haines celebrated their first anniversary on Saturday, with a romantic getaway to Soho Farmhouse.
The reality couple, who began dating early last year and are now engaged, have been dogged by scandal in recent months following the ongoing release of damning voice notes allegedly made by Ferne.
However, despite the intense public scrutiny and backlash of the scandal, the couple have remained as strong as ever, with the pair marking a full twelve months together at the weekend.
Heading off to the Soho Farmhouse, a luxury country retreat in the heart of Oxfordshire, the loved-up couple kicked off their anniversary celebration with a trip to the spa before tucking in to a romantic and intimate dinner at the lavish venue.
Sharing several moments from the trip to social media, Lorri documented several of the couple’s activities, as he described himself as a “lucky man” to be celebrating alongside his bride to be.
In one snap shared by the star, Ferne could be seen sat looking content but pensive at the dinner table as she sported a beige knitted jumper for the occasion, while also opting for a lowkey but natural looking makeup look.
For their meal choices, the couple selected a number of seafood dishes, with Ferne’s dish of choice being a delicious sushi selection.
Lorri meanwhile, shared a glimpse of his food choices during the stay, which included plenty of fresh vegetables and a delicious looking chickpea dish.
Another snap shared by doting fiancé Lorri, also including a smiling selfie of the duo dressed in matching camel coloured bath robes as they prepared to head into the spa for a good few hours of R&R.
There was even time to give fans a sneaky glimpse inside their bedroom as an elated Ferne sat atop a king size bed and posed for the camera amid a variety of soft lighting choices and chic but homely furnishings.
Captioning the post, Lorri couldn’t hide his emotions as he proudly wrote: “Happy Anniversary to my wife to be, @fernemcann” alongside a series of red heart emojis.
Ferne herself also revealed a closer look at their romantic room for the weekend, which featured several happy anniversary balloons alongside a roll top bath, perfect for any loved up couple to relax and unwind after a long day.
The getaway comes just weeks after Ferne publicly admitted “a lot of has been going on” as she spoke out amid the voice note drama and opened up about looking forward to a new year.
Speaking to her Instagram followers before New Year’s Eve, Ferne opened up to her fans about taking a break.
She said: “Hey my darlings, wow this feels strange. This feels very ,very strange because I haven’t spoke on my Insta Story or spoke to you guys for such a long time."
“It kind of feels strange not doing it because I’m so used to sharing everything with you, silly things that have happened throughout my day, but also it feels strange because I feel rusty and I feel like there’s been a lot going on that has just made me pause and want to take time away, even though I’ve still been sharing stuff, but time away from getting so swamped in an Instahole.”
The reality star, who has her own ITVBe show First Time Mum with daughter Sunday, five, went on to explain that she was currently in bed with a cold, “wheezy cough” and headache, but she wanted to wish her followers well and share her aims for 2023.
