Maya Jama sings about p*ssy as she lands in South Africa to host Love Island

Maya Jama has hilariously taken to Instagram to sing about "p*ssy" ahead of her Love Island debut.

The stunning presenter is gearing up for her first time hosting the ITV2 show and as she waits for the first episode she has been enjoying her surroundings.

Maya uploaded a video of her socialising with some of her pals as she jokingly changed some of the lyrics to Womack & Womack's Teardrops.

She could be seen singing: "And the music don't feel like it did when I felt it with you, yeah… Footsteps in your p****hole reminds me baby of you."

"She's changed the lyrics," one of her friends said in the background.

Another chimed in: "People are trying to have a lovely trip."

To which Maya jokingly responded: "They can't hear me saying p****hole, oh, maybe they can."

The winter series is set in South Africa which is where she is currently staying and chilling out before the show begins on Monday (January 16).

This comes after Maya said she was "fighting for her life" while battling with an illness last week.

Maya was hoping to shake off her symptoms before the launch of the new series.

The former Radio 1 star shared the news on her social media and wrote: "Fighting for my life with this cold now though lol I am down!"

But from her Instagram, it looks as if Maya is feeling brighter now – just in time for the launch.

This is the second series of winter Love Island and Maya's first as the new presenter.

She will be taking over from Laura Whitmore, who decided to leave after the summer 2022 series, who took over the late Caroline Flack's role before.

In the new promo trailer for the show, Maya can be seen riding a mechanical pink bull and grabbing it by its horns.

In the new advert, she can be heard saying: "It’s time to grab love by the horns, I’m ready, are you?"

As well as a new advert, there will also be new security measures as ITV bosses have reportedly upped their game whilst in South Africa.

After being hit with security breaches in Spain last year, The Ludus Magnus villa will be protected by high-voltage gates and a fully-staffed security team.

Love Island returns this January on ITV2 and ITVX
