Huda, whose hit international cosmetics line Huda Beauty is estimated to be worth $1.2 billion (£1 million) and is stocked in upmarket department stores including Harrods, gagged in horror as she ran the microscope over her skin.

Posting the video, Huda warned: ‘I was seriously shook. I took a microscope to my face and I could not believe what I saw! Apparently this is totally normal but still, why? Take a look, you have been warned.’

The blogger then ran the microscope over her nose, screaming: ‘Eww no way! This is so gross’, as she stumbled across a spot filled with pus, before gagging.

‘What is up with all the hairs?’ she added, ‘I look like a cactus that’s infected!’.

Huda then moved onto a bruise, caused by a recent micro-needling procedure.

‘Wow is there a hair growing underneath my skin?’, she asked, before admitting: ‘This is probably the most disgusting thing I’ve looked at’, as she came across a range of whiteheads in the bruise.

‘And why am I growing hairs under my eyes?’ she asked, adding: ‘That’s what kind of hairy person I am!’.

The make-up artist then ventured away from her facial skin, checking out her scalp which she said suffered from eczema.

‘My hair looks like brown spaghetti!’ she joked, as she admired the small hairs growing.

‘Is that a long blackhead or a hair’, she asked, gagging again.

While the view that close is alarming, it is totally normal according to New York-based, board-certified dermatologist Dr. Doris Day.

‘Our pores are filled with oil and other gunk from life’, she confirmed, listing the nose as one of the worst offenders.

‘Over the years, I’ve really put in the time to achieve flawless skin,’ explained Kattan. ‘I feel like it’s healthier now and I rarely have flare ups.’

‘But I can never unsee this,’ she later said, before cleansing her face and looking at the results under a microscope.
