Masked men roamed house for an hour while family, including pregnant mum, slept

Three masked men roamed a house for an hour while a family, including the pregnant mum, slept.

Footage captured on a neighbour's CCTV shows three men entering the home of Adam Cutter – where he lives with his partner, Amy, and their 14-month-old son, Kaylen.

Adam said his blood ran cold after waking up in the morning to see items stolen from the bedroom where his loved ones were sleeping.

He also found knives missing from the kitchen, believing the intruders had armed themselves with the weapons as they roamed the house, reports Leicestershire Live.

The 28-year-old self-employed van salesman said the thieves struck his home in Coalville, Leicestershire, in the early hours of Tuesday morning – August 6.

They made off with his £60,000 sports car, jewellery and cash up to the value of £100,000.

He said: “Amy is distraught. She has gone to her mother’s with our son Kaylen and refuses to stay in this house after realising what has happened.”

Mr Cutter said he only realised his home had been burgled when he went to go to work at about 9am and saw that his Nissan GTR car was not on the drive.

He said: “I ran back into the house and saw that the conservatory was open and that the back door was open and had been forced open.

“I looked in the dining room and saw that the butcher’s block of five knives from the kitchen was on the floor.

“The three biggest knives, two of which have 10-inch blades, were missing. One of them, with an eight-inch blade was left on the side. I think they must have left that by mistake. I hope it has fingerprints or DNA on it.

“My blood ran cold when I realised that whoever had been in our house had armed themselves with these huge knives.

“I checked that Amy and Kaylen were okay then the dogs. The two pug dogs had been in their cage in the kitchen but had not barked.

“I think the burglars must have drugged them or given them something to keep them quiet.”

Mr Cutter immediately checked his CCTV but the camera was not at the right angle to catch the thieves. However. a neighbour’s doorbell camera did.

The father-of-one watched the footage and looked on in horror as he saw three masked men go into his house and leave about an hour later taking his car and lots of expensive possessions.

He said: “They look very sinister. It is not nice to think that they were walking round in my bedroom, armed with knives, while myself, my pregnant wife and our son slept.

“I am so glad we are all safe. I am so glad we did not wake up.

“God only knows what might have happened if any of us had woken up as they had armed themselves with knives.”

Mr Cutter said the thieves got away with £28,000 in cash, two Rolex watches worth £20,000, a £8,000 gold and diamond necklace.

The raiders also took a Louis Vuitton bag worth £1,500 and a £350 Michael Kors bag containing £4,000 cash and a £500 iPhone.

“They took the keys for Amy’s Ford Cougar and moved it so they could get my Nissan out. They threw her keys on the drive and left her car.

“They took the keys to my two quad bikes worth £15,000 but luckily could not get them out of the garage as it is jam-packed in there.

“In my car was my passport and many of my work documents. In the boot was lots of motocross gear worth thousands.
