Series three of cult teen Netflix drama Sex Education has gone straight to the top of viewing charts since its release last Friday.
And the stunning red-and-white Norwegian-style wooden home where sex therapist Dr Jean Milburn (Gillian Anderson) and her son Otis (Asa Butterfield) reside gets another starring role.
The property, known in real-life as The Chalet, lies in the pretty Wye Valley in rural Herefordshire and was snapped up as a ‘wreck’ for just £355,000 in 2002 by its current owners.
After its appearance in all three series of Sex Education so far, the property has attracted huge interest and last year enjoyed a chic spruce-up after a collaboration with luxury paint company Farrow and Ball.
Indeed, owner Stuart Morgan was so inundated with requests from fans to come and visit the characterful five-bed property, that they’ve since opened it to paying guests, with a four-night stay in December costing around £3,000 – £750 a night.

On Twitter, many viewers have been fawning over the exterior, which perches on the banks of the River Wye and looks out over the valley, since it reappeared in the latest series of the show.
One, @TVPartyPlanner, wrote: ‘Jean and Otis’s house is just the prettiest hours to end all pretty houses.’
Another, @itsleahrae_, added: ‘It’s literally my dream to live in a house like this and 90% why I watch #sexeducation in the first place.’
@tinareginee added: ‘The Milburn house is so pretty and the location is so ideal I wanna live there.’
Last year, FEMAIL spoke to owner Stuart Morgan, 53, a semi-retired insurance broker from Herefordshire, who revealed he’d bought the property as a ‘wreck’ and was delighted that the ‘Netflix effect’ had seen his home, which he no longer lives in, rise dramatically in value.
He said it had been a surreal experience watching the family property that he bought with his wife Cathy when his children were ‘babies’ become the object of people’s desires. And even stranger seeing Gillian Anderson opening their front door.

The colourful riverside property has long been a fan favourite and this season’s release has only renewed their ardour.
Gillian Anderson’s character, pregnant in series three, has frequently been seen reading copies of the fictional National Echo on the property’s stunning terrace, which affords views of the River Wye and its verdant banks.
Morgan’s own family – he has two sons, Aneurin and Llewelyn, with wife Cathy, moved out of the pretty house after ten years in it because they wanted to be ‘nearer to civilisation’.

After renting out the home very successfully as a holiday home, the Morgans grew tired of the constant stream of tourists and rented to just one family, who were then approached by Sex Education’s makers.
Morgan explained in 2020: ‘The location manager for Sex Education is a local guy. Despite living in the area for all of his life, he’d never seen the house because it’s tucked away on the hillside. He put a note through the door and the tenants got in touch and that was it.’

The raunchy subject matter featured in the show – series two opened with a masturbation montage that shocked some viewers and there’s been even more bedroom athletics in series three – didn’t worry the family too much; Morgan says the producers were ‘pretty clear’ on the content from the beginning.
While the property was originally bought for £355,000, Morgan says he’s spent almost as much transforming it but hopes now that the programme’s popularity – Sex Education is broadcast to a global audience – is bound to have seen his property’s value spiral ‘into the millions’ – or at least become a very lucrative holiday rental.
