Alcohol fans are in for a real treat as the world's strongest gin has just been launched.

The Anno Extreme 95 Gin was created by a group of boffins who ditched the world of science in favour of making spirits instead.

According to the creators, the tipple has an alcohol by volume (ABV) of 95%, making it the strongest in the world.

It has "robust juniper and smooth spices" that "soften into a fresh bite of citrus with sweet herbal notes".

While the gin's finish is "long, dry and complex with hints of warm liquorice".

The drink has a bunch of botanicals contributing towards its flavour, including nutmeg, coriander, liquorice and fennel.

Speaking about the creation, the company said it produced the tipple with one goal in mind – to "create the spirit of alchemy".

It added: "A gin that packs more punch and flavour, drop for drop, than any other spirit in the world.

"We use an extended distillation with a mix of steeped and vapour infused botanicals to extract flavour, packed into a 20cl bottle.

"Just a 5ml measure gives you a full flavoured G&T with 75% less alcohol."

The Kent-based company says a 25ml serving will also give you a "huge botanical hit with a higher strength".

A 20cl bottle of the world's strongest gin costs just £30, so it doesn't exactly break the bank either.

It comes in a presentation box with a measuring breaker included.

For more information on the strong gin, you can visit the Anno website to purchase your own. Just remember to drink responsibly.
