‘Bachelor in Paradise’: Why Did Tre Cooper and Tahzjuan Hawkins Leave Early?

Many Bachelor in Paradise fans were heartbroken when Tre Cooper and Tahzjuan Hawkins left season 7. The reality stars seemingly had a good thing going when their relationship abruptly came to an end. So why did Tahzjuan and Tre leaveBachelor in Paradise 2021? Here’s everything the BIP cast members revealed.

What happened to Tahzjuan Hawkins and Tre Cooper in ‘Bachelor in Paradise’ 2021?

Tre and Tahzjuan connected on the first day of Bachelor in Paradise Season 7. Tahzjuan revealed that she previously dated Tre’s uncle, Anthony. But the reality stars were willing to figure out their own relationship, and they hit it off.

That said, Riley Christian’s arrival seemed to shift the direction of Tahzjuan and Tre’s blossoming romance. Tahzjuan really wanted to get to know Riley, who ended up connecting with Maurissa Gunn.

Meanwhile, Tre wasn’t sure where Tahzjuan’s head was at. But at the end of episode 3, Tahzjuan — and Mr. Crab — spoke with BIP producers and suggested that Tre was going to get another chance. Nevertheless, both Tre and Tahzjuan decided to leave before the next rose ceremony in episode 5.

Tre Cooper explains why he left ‘Bachelor in Paradise’ Season 7 in episode 5

Before the rose ceremony in Bachelor in Paradise Season 7 Episode 5, Tre realized that Tahzjuan wasn’t his person. So Tre decided to leave the beach.

“For me and Tahz, I saw a connection early on and wanted to explore it,” Tre said. “You know, we had some good moments. But when you look at the whole big picture, I realized Tahz wasn’t my person.”

He continued, “My only option for a romantic rose tonight was Tahz. So yeah, it was a hard decision. But I’m at a place right now where I’m pretty sure that I don’t want to be here anymore.”

Tre also shared how he felt when he broke up with Tahzjuan.

“I don’t feel that we are right for each other, and I think that’s on both of us,” Tre said. “I think our communication could have definitely been better.”

When Tre left Bachelor in Paradise Season 7, he hoped that Tahzjuan would spend the rest of the night figuring out who to give her next rose to. But other cast members noticed something going on with Tahzjuan upon Becca Kufrin’s arrival.

“With Becca coming in, I can tell that there’s something going on with Tahz,” Riley told BIP producers. “She just gets up and walks out. As frustrated as I’ve seen her be on the beach, she may go off the wire.”

Meanwhile, Tahzjuan walked off and packed her bags to leave Bachelor in Paradise. She also explained why she decided to quit the show.

“I’m done with love. I give up,” Tahzjuan said. “I didn’t want my time here to be cut short. But there’s no options left. I want to go home. That’s just how my Paradise cookie crumbled, which is really unfortunate.”

She continued, “I came to Paradise to be able to find love again, and it didn’t work out. Again. This is my worst nightmare, you know? We’re meant to find love. It’s freaking Paradise. But I’m crying, sweating, crying some more. It’s a lot.”
