Kate Garraway reveals cheeky Valentine's Day note from milkman

Kate Garraway had her Good Morning Britain co-stars in stitches after admitting her milkman left her an interesting Valentine’s Day note.

During Friday’s instalment, GMB viewers were asked to send in their messages of appreciation ahead of February 14, although, Kate couldn’t help but share her own.

‘It’s Valentine’s weekend, we’ve been talking about how we can spread a little bit of love,’ Ben Shephard began. ‘Not necessarily Valentine’s love but with regards to lockdown, who has lifted your spirits?

‘It might be a partner who has gone out of their way to really brighten your day, every day, it might be your kids, might be someone else.

‘So, we asked you to get in touch with some messages of appreciation.’

‘Yes, we’ve had lots haven’t we,’ kate weighed in. ‘Can I just quickly do mine first of all? There’s a reason why…’

‘It’s not about you, for a moment, it’s about her – let’s remember that, back to you,’ Ben joked.

Kate continued: ‘Mick, my milkman, who has just been amazing. He’s absolutely kept me going because he’s left little notes saying, “Do you need anything extra other than the milk?”‘

Before Kate could continue, Ben, Richard Arnold and weather reporter Alex Beresford burst out laughing.

As did we all…

As she put her hands over her eyes, Kate told them, that’s not what she meants.

‘I mean like bread, butter or orange juice as supplies,’ she insisted.

‘The extras,’ Ben replied with a smile on his face.

Kate added: ‘He leaves a smiley face.’

‘I bet he does,’ Ben joked: ‘Are you still answering the door in your dressing gown and those fluffy slippers?’

‘Thank you, Mick. Shall we move onto other messages before I get in trouble?’ Kate laughed.

Viewers also found the segment hilarious, taking to Twitter, one commented: ‘Oh @kategarraway, it’s always a joy when you’re presenting. You’ve just made me laugh out loud with the story of your milkman and his extras.’

Another said: ‘Kate you absolute star, I was laughing so much about milkman.’

While one added: ‘Oh Kate what a joy. Being surrounded by these three lovely men this morning. You have to watch every word you say.’
