Love Island’s Maura refuses to join Tom in Hideaway as he plays down comments

Love Island 2019 star Maura Higgins couldn’t believe her luck as she was awarded a night in the Hideaway with the boy of her choice.

It came as Tom finally impressed her by giving her a surprise kiss in the villa, and the new couple appeared to be getting closer.

But he went and ruined it all in Sunday’s episode, as he was overheard discussing the Irish beauty with the boys.

They had suggested how “interesting” it would be to see whether the confident islander was “all mouth” when it came to her antics in the Hideaway.

He agreed repeating the comments in earshot of her, leaving her disgusted.

Now, ahead of their showdown, Maura refuses to go into the private bedroom with him.

Tom is shown claiming it was “miscommunication” in a new teaser, but Maura is having none of it.

The islander has been very open about sex since her arrival in the villa, but furious fans blasted Tom for assuming her sexual confidence would secure him some action.

Viewers aren’t alone though, with Maura shutting him down immediately, and now it seems they don’t make it to the Hideaway.

The teaser for tonight’s episode sees Tom asking to speak with her as she returns to the girls in the dressing room upstairs, and she’s livid.

Tom says: “Maura, can we clear something up? I feel like that was miscommunication."

Maura shouts back: “What do you mean miscommunication? You said what you said,” having told the girls: “I'm not bringing him to the Hideaway."

Viewers will have to tune in tonight to see whether they make it into the private room, but it’s looking highly unlikely.

Love Island airs all week at 9pm on ITV2.
