Mark Wright returns to Heart for new Saturday afternoon radio show after quitting dream job in America

MARK Wright is returning to Heart Radio fresh from his stint in America.

The 32-year-old quit his dream job in LA after a year and a half working away from home.

He's now back to launch an all-new Saturday show from 4pm to 7pm.

Announcing his comeback on Saturday, July 6, Mark said: “I’m buzzing to be back on air at Heart.

"I’ll be playing the freshest feel-good hits to soundtrack your weekend.

"It’s going to be massive so make sure you join me as we turn up the feel-good every Saturday on Heart!”

Former Towie star Mark had been working for US TV show Extra, which he hosted Stateside.

But he officially returned to the UK in February to live full-time with his wife Michelle Keegan.

He negotiated to be let out of his contract in order to live in the same country as his actress wife, but left on good terms and the door is open for him to work with them in the future.

Mark had presented Heart's Club Classics every Friday and Saturday between 7pm and 9pm since 2012.

He's now back to join stars including Amanda Holden, Jamie Theakston, Kelly Brook, Rochelle Humes and Jenni Falconer at the station.

James Rea, managing editor of Heart, said: “Mark is the perfect host for Saturday evenings on Heart – he loves his music and he’ll bring a huge energy to his brand new show, which will be packed with the biggest feel-good tunes.

"He is incredibly popular with our listeners and we’re very happy to have him back behind the mic at Heart!”

Mark’s first full-time job back in the UK earlier this year was host of the new series of The Bachelor on Channel 5.

His wife Michelle "cried with happiness" when he moved on after their long-distance marriage.

He told The Sun's Fabulous: “Michelle was the reason I knew I would never move there for ever.

“She’s the best wife I could have dreamed of, the most important person in my life and the one who helped convince me to go to America in the first place.
