Fan of bold interiors? Not remotely afraid of the dark? Had Paint It Black by the Rolling Stones stuck in your head for too long?
Well, this could be the flat for you.
An apartment where the inside is almost completely black has gone on the market for £400,000.
The walls, ceilings, doors, window frames and floors have all been painted a deep, dark and shadowy black.
Located in Manchester’s Gotham City, the spacious, open-plan flat has two almost totally black double bedrooms with large beds and furry blankets.
There’s a sleek kitchen with a black quartz island in the centre and a black table and chairs.
Even the blinds in the flat have been painted black, offering privacy and plenty of shade from the sun.
There are only occasional pops of colour mostly in the form of gold accents and accessories – for example, golden light fixtures – and white features – such as the white sink, toilet and bath in the bathroom.
It’s been marketed by Nest Seekers International, London, with the listing reading: ‘Inside is where the magic happens. Sexy. Seductive. Desirable.
‘Touches of gold to get the eyes wandering. The original Victorian redwood floors have been brought back to life.
‘No thought or expense has been spared, the kitchen/diner is at the heart of the apartment comprising of quartz, carefully selected integrated appliances and pop up sockets for convenience.’
The flat has been on the market since the end of May, and has caused quite the stir online since then.
One person said: ‘We viewed a house with similar decor a few years back. We still refer to it as the S&M House.’
Another commenter joked: ‘”Sexy. Seductive. Desirable.” Yea, till you stub your toe.’
One added: ‘Don’t ever walk around that place with a UV lamp.’
