Maya was 38 weeks pregnant when she sadly lost her third child due to a stillbirth. The Selling Sunset star took to Instagram to announce the tragic news, and many of her followers and co-stars took to the comments to send her good wishes.

Fellow real estate agents Chrishell Stause and Vanessa Villela were amongst those in the cast who posted touching comments after Maya’s sad news.

She announced the upsetting loss with a picture of a box filled with what would have been clothes for her baby, Mason.

“Yesterday was the hardest day of my life,” she wrote in the caption.

“I had a stillbirth at 38 weeks. I always heard of it but never imagined I’ll be part of the statistics.

“Instead of delivering a baby, I get to go home with a memory box… I do not wish this on anyone.”

Maya explained that the stillbirth occurred after what was expected to just be a weekly check-up.

She went on to say that she was sharing on social media to avoid difficult questions when Selling Sunset continues with its fifth season on Netflix.

“What was a regular weekly checkup turned into a nightmare that I never imagine will happen to me,” Maya recalled.

“Given I share my pregnancies in the show I knew I’ll have to post about this and avoid the ‘when is your due date’ question. You will always be in our heart baby Mason.”

Her announcement prompted a number of her Selling Sunset co-stars to send their condolences in the comments of her latest Instagram post.

Chrishell said: “This is the unimaginable. It’s hard to find words.

“My heart aches for you and your family. You are surrounded by so much love. Here for you for absolutely anything you need.”
