Channel 4 fans were left dumbfounded after they'd tuned in to Wednesday's Sex Actually episode to witness a group of people orgasming in what appeared to be a church hall.

Host Alice Levine joined a bunch of people who used the power of thought to reach the point of stimulation.

The TV star attempted to achieve her peak along with everyone in the group but it didn't quite work for her.

A teacher barked out instructions: "Bending the knees. Letting out sounds.

"Squeezing, and releasing."

Speaking over the loud noises, Alice said: "After a lot of heavy breathing and under-carriage clenching, the magic started to happen around me."

As the entire class began to gyrate, the host added: "As I looked around me I wondered if i was the only person missing out on this potentially euphoric experience."

Fans of the show, could not believe what they were witnessing as they immediately took to Twitter to chime their thoughts.

One person asked: "Is everybody watching Chanel 4 at the moment? Omg what the f*** is this #sexactually."

Another joked: "Imagine doing orgasm class in a church hall. #sexactually."

A third person quipped: "Mop and bucket for village hall #sexactually."

"I think I'd be having a full body laughing attack rather than orgasm at one of these workshops #sexactually," remarked a fourth.

While others were less convinced, adding: "Honestly have no idea what this full body orgasm is. I think I’ll stick to the traditional way of achieving it #SexActually."

Alice was on a mission to understand if pleasure and connection with others could be stimulated through sexual healing.

Later on in the programme, the presenter tags along to another workshop where she is asked to seduce a complete stranger without saying a word.

She approached a chap and began using her eyes and flicking her hair in a bid to woo him.

Wanting to know how she'd got on, she asked the man: "How was that?"

Looking pleased with her attempts, he chirped back: "You certainly grabbed my attention."
