Strictly star Adam Peaty’s exasperated girlfriend forced to explain why their baby son is ‘so white’

STRICTLY star Adam Peaty’s girlfriend has hit out at comments people have been making about their child.

Eiri Munro took to social media after web-users commented that her son had acquired “strong genes” from the Olympic champion.

In a post on TikTok she asked people to “stop” saying it.

“I know people don’t mean harm,” she said.

“But I see through these comments. What people are essentially saying is your baby ‘is so white’.

"It’s true. I see him every day! But he’s not all Adam. If you saw baby pictures of me you’d see that his eyes, nose and ears are the same as mine. But his colour is very much Adam.”

In a direct message to those who had been making the comments she then added: “Thanks for always saying this. You can stop now.”

Eiri’s comments come a day after she told how she felt like the world was against her amid the fallout from his "almost kiss" on Strictly Come Dancing.

The 23-year-old said she took a break from social media because of abusive comments after Adam's clinch with his pro partner Katya Jones at the climax of a passionate tango on the BBC show earlier this month.

She  said: "I have been receiving a lot of hate on the internet… people saying really horrible stuff. I am trying to lay it to rest now as I am tired."

Yesterday in a new TikTok video, she added how grateful she is to people who have supported her.

She said: "I want to say thank you to everyone. It makes me a bit emotional. To everyone that has been really nice to me. Because last week was a lot…

"Even when it's a thousand nice comments and one mean one, it's so easy to feel like the world is against you and it did feel like that for a while.

"I then had a reality check and I remembered that I am not that important. "But you guys made me feel so much better, those that were checking up on me and tango steamy dance those that were commenting. Thank you." She then added, tongue-in-cheek: "You saved my life."

Earlier this month some viewers thought Olympic gold medal swimmer Adam, 26, and pro dancer Katya, 32, were close to smooching after their steamy performance a fortnight ago.

Artist Eiri, who shares a baby son with Adam, later posted a video online of her pretending to cry alongside a caption saying: "Watching your boyfriend almost kiss another woman on live TV… finding out 10 million people also watched it."

Adam hit back at rumours by saying last week: "To everyone who wants to see what they want, your comments have real-life consequences. I will not be overcome by your gossip."
